Earlier this month Game Of Thrones fans world wide rejoiced as HBO announced that they brought in four seasoned and extremely talented writes to develop four scripts for possible GOT spin offs.
Yesterday the wizard behind the GOT curtain, George RR Martin, brought more exciting news revealing that a fifth mystery writer had been brought into the fold.
“We had four scripts in development when I arrived in L.A. last week, but by the time I left we had five,” he wrote. “We have added a fifth writer to the original four.”
But who is this mystery writer, what can we expect from them, and what are their qualifications?
“He’s a really terrific addition,” Martin said, not revealing the identity of the new addition but saying that apart from himself and “Thrones” experts Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson, “I don’t know anyone who knows and loves Westeros as well as he does.”
The four writers previously announced are Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”), Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Brian Helgeland (“Legend”), and Carly Wray (“Mad Men,” “The Leftovers”).
